My heart has been focused on prayer these days. There is nothing more powerful and life-changing that you can do for someone than pray for them. I am talking about a place-shaking prayer.

A prayer that moves mountains. That shows people their need for a Savior. Those are the prayers I want to pray.

If you have never experienced a mountain-moving, place-shaking prayer, it is time.

What makes the difference in our prayers? We do. If we do not humble ourselves, we cannot expect our prayers to make an impact. If we do not believe in our hearts what we are praying for, we cannot expect mountains to move.

When you tell someone that you will pray for them, commit to that prayer. God knows your heart before you ever utter a word. He knows.

Humbling ourselves is more about us than about Him. See, we tend to want to fix this life on our own. We have the next five years of our lives planned out. The car, the house, the kids, the job. Humbling ourselves means letting go of all of our plans. It means that we trust in God, no matter what. It means we align our lives with His will.

2 Chronicles 7:15 says – Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. God says if we will humble ourselves and seek His face, then His eyes will be open and His ears attentive. But when we humble ourselves, our eyes are opened and our ears are attentive as well.

We see the importance of interceding on behalf of others. Our hearts hurt when people hurt. Our hearts soar when miracles happen. We know that every breath happens because of the Lord. We know that every step and every choice needs to be contemplated in prayer. We know that prayer truly changes everything.

This world needs prayer warriors.

It is time for mountain-moving, place-shaking prayer. Will you humble yourself to join me on this journey?
