Test-imony

You know the day. If one more person calls or walks through the door, you cannot handle one more thing. You are ready to go back to bed and start this day over again. There is no way one more thing could go wrong today. People need to quit testing your faith.

Sound familiar?

Those are the moments that I realize that I have taken back control of my life and I am trying to handle everything on my own.

As Christians, we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. We can access the Holy Spirit and allow Him to guide our every word and action. Or we can suppress the Holy Spirit and handle life ourselves.

People love free will. You get to make your own choices, choose your own path, and handle your own problems. The downside of free will is that it is too easy to slip back into old patterns, to become part of the world again.

I prefer to be set apart. Allowing God to choose my path. Walking day with Him by my side. Showing the world the love of God as I walk through trials.

In that moment when I realize that I have taken back control, I stop, take a deep breath, and reconnect with the Holy Spirit. Then, I proceed with my day looking at the situations through God’s eyes and not my own. Allowing the Holy Spirit to intervene and responding with love.

Turn your tests into testimonies. When the world sees how you respond, they will know and see the love of God. They will want what you have. They are watching.

Even when I thought that no one knew what I was facing, someone would comment on how I was handling the situation. People see a lot more than you think.

The next time you come to the end of your rope, grab on to the hem of His garment and do not let go.

Allow God to guide your every moment.
