When we receive good news, we cannot wait to tell everyone we know. Good news travels fast. Good news is exciting to share. We cannot wait to spread good news.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is referred to as good news. The good news is that Jesus Christ died for your sins to give you an opportunity to accept His free gift of salvation to spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
Why is this good news so hard to share? When people ask about our faith, we tend to not want to share. Jesus died for the sins of everyone in this world and we do not want to share His love with others.
We miss out on the blessings of sharing the good news with others. We miss out on the blessings of seeing others come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We miss out on the blessings of seeing others grow in the knowledge and grace of God.
We should be excited to talk to others about Jesus. We should want to tell everyone we see. The good news of Jesus should have traveled over the entire world well before this point.
So, what holds us back from telling others? Is it the rejection we anticipate? Is it not knowing what questions will be asked of us? Is it relationships that we do not want to be changed?
Whatever the reason is, we need to understand that a person’s eternity is more important than any of those reasons. Where a person will spend their eternity should compel us to tell them about the love of Jesus.
Take that step outside of what is comfortable. Take that step beyond what is holding you back. People are waiting on you to tell them about Jesus Christ.
Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.
Tell the good news!
