Well, we have made it halfway through the first month of the year. How are you doing?
Have you started a read through your Bible in a year program?
Are you saying “yes” to the calling that God has placed on your life?
Has your prayer life grown?
Did you start the year with a Bible Study?
We begin each year with such anticipation and resolve. This year, we will be better than we were last year. This year, we will accomplish all of those things we have been putting off. This year.
By the middle of the month, our anticipation and resolve are worn. Who knew that these tasks would be so daunting? Maybe we will start again next year.
We do not have to wait until January 1 to make a change in our lives. What if we lived every day like January 1? Instead of making plans for the new year, make plans for the new day. Today, we can resolve to make a change. Today, we can start our Bible reading plan. Today, we can set aside time to pray. Today, we can start that Bible Study.
Do not stop just because things have not gone your way so far this year.
There is no better time than now.
No better day than today.
Today is a new day filled with hope. The anticipation of what you can accomplish today is waiting. Dust off your resolve. You are going to need it.
