The holidays are a happy, stress-filled time. We spend so much time making plans, coordinating events, cooking, baking, and buying that sometimes we lose our merriment. We have the hustle and bustle part, but the thankful, grateful, and happy part tends to be forgotten.
The holidays are hard. They are especially hard for some. And then, you add the expectations of family.
Maybe you do not feel like celebrating all of the traditions this year. Maybe you do not feel like celebrating at all. You are not alone. There are so many others that are experiencing this very thing.
We need to sit the hustle and bustle down for a moment and think about the true meaning of Christmas.
Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. Jesus willingly came to this world, knowing that He would die for our sins. Jesus went to the cross and was marred more than any man because He loves you and me.
That deserves to be honored and celebrated.
This year, slow down and remember the sacrifice. This year, know that God loves you.
This year is about presence, your relationship with Jesus Christ.
This year, celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
