Heavy Heart

My heart is so heavy. There are so many people in this world that are hurting. As people, we tend to just go about our days like we do not notice the hurting. Why is that? These are people that God loves. Why do we pass them by?

What would happen if we took everything we learned in the Bible and put it into practice? What if we became a community of people who pray for each other? Let me take that one step further. What if we tended to the needs of others?

People need prayer. God is the changer of hearts, circumstances, and people. Place-shaking prayer changes everything. I have seen lives changed through prayer. I have been changed through prayer.

Outside of praying for someone, are we willing to answer the call? If we see someone truly in need, do we fill that need or expect the Church to take care of that? Are we willing to step out and start a ministry, if needed, to fill a need in our community? Will we share Jesus with a world that is hurting?

My heart is heavy. God has placed a burden on my heart for the hurting. I cannot take away their pain, but I can answer the call. Whether that is prayer, filling a need, sharing Jesus, or all three – I want to be ready in season and out of season.

Today is a good day to answer the call that God has placed on your life. Today is a good day to follow God. Join me on this journey. I want to serve God with you.
