Wasting Time

There were so many times in my life when I thought I could walk alone. That I did not need to bother God with the things going on in my life because He had bigger problems to deal with. I could handle life on my own.

Oh, how wrong I was. God wants to be part of every part of my life. The little, the big, the things I thought were a waste of His time, He wanted to be involved in. I wasted so much time trying to handle life on my own. I wasted so much time that I could have spent growing my relationship with God. That I could have spent being close to my Savior. Walking daily by His side.

I was the one holding back. My pride, my thoughts, my way, my plan. The keyword in all of that is “my”. Once I realized that my way was not working and let go, life was different.

God has worked on me and molded me and made me the person that I am today. All that I am, I owe to God. All that I will be in the future, I owe to God.

God has shown me that His thoughts and His ways are the best. His plans and His path are what I follow. No, I do not know what the future holds, but I know that God does and that is enough for me.

This life with God is filled to overflowing. I have love, peace, and forgiveness in my heart. I quit wasting time and started walking with God.

Whatever is holding you back, today is the day to lay it down and start your life with God.
