Have you ever watched the sunrise? In the dark of the morning, the clouds are a shade of gray and look a little gloomy. Before you can even see the sun on the horizon, the clouds start to change colors. As the sun draws closer, the clouds continue to fill until they are completely white as snow. The clouds are fully reflecting the sun and it shines through them.
This is such a beautiful picture of our lives with Jesus. We start out a shade of gray or maybe dark and gloomy. But when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are filled to overflowing. The love of Jesus shines through us.
As we travel through this life, we may take our eyes off of God and stray away from our Christian walk. Then, our clouds lose their light and people no longer see Jesus in us. All we have to do is draw close to God again and our clouds will be bright once again.
When was the last time you were filled to overflowing by the Spirit of God? Seek God today and take whatever is holding you back to Him in prayer. God is the changer of people, situations, and circumstances. Let Him be the light in your life today.
