We are not promised tomorrow. We are not promised today. Why do we keep putting things off? Why do we live like we have a hundred years in front of us?
There are so many scriptures in the Bible that have an urgency, talking about not putting things off until tomorrow, that today is the day of salvation. But we still live like we have all of the time in the world.
What if you did not have time? What would you do then? Every day, people pass from this life. Every day, you encounter people and maybe you talk with someone today that will not be here tomorrow.
This life is not just about you. It is about all of us. Every single person needs love in their lives. I cannot think of one person who would say that they do not want to be loved.
Maybe you want to ignore Jesus and the calling that He has placed on your life. Maybe you feel as though you have plenty of tomorrows to work for the Lord. Maybe you are just busy and do not have time.
Maybe today you tell someone about the love of God because you never know how many tomorrows they have. Maybe today you start living your life making every day count. Maybe today you find time to start your service to the Lord.
Life is fragile. It is here today and gone tomorrow. It is a small fraction of eternity.
Live today as though every life matters and everyone deserves a chance to hear about the love of God.
