Typical

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2

I am not your typical pastor’s wife. I am uniquely created for a purpose. You can quit trying to shove me in a box of what you think a pastor’s wife should be, I will never fit. I love my Church family for accepting and loving my uniqueness.

God did not create us to be typical. We are not meant to fit into what the world thinks we should be. We are meant to stand out and stand up for God. The world is our mission field. If we look like the world, why would they want what we have.

People are looking for something different than what they currently have. If you look and act like them, they see no benefit in following Jesus. When you walk differently from the world, they see a difference. People are curious at the peace you have, the love, the strength.

As Christians we need to understand that everyone’s journey is different. Every platform for telling the world about Jesus is different. Be supportive and accepting of their journey.

I have been so blessed to be a small part in other’s journeys and seeing Churches say “yes” to another’s calling without knowing what lies ahead. They trusted in the Lord and blessings flowed.

I will never fit into a mold. I simply want to follow God. Wherever that takes me. That is my journey.
