Lies

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The enemy sees your work for the Lord, and he wants to stop you. He will work very hard to make that happen. He studies you in an attempt to find your weaknesses. If he figures it out, he will start his work there. He is cunning and deceiving.

This past week I was faced with a situation and for a moment, I bought into the lies of the enemy. For a moment, I did not see myself as God sees, but how the evil one wants me to see myself. Maybe you believe that you as secure enough in your relationship with God, that this will never happen to you. That is great. I thought the same thing.

When this happens, we have to remind ourselves who we are in Christ.

You are loved.

You are chosen.

You are forgiven.

You are redeemed.

You are blessed.

You are a masterpiece.

You are a child of God.

Stand strong against the lies of the enemy. Be secured in the knowledge that no matter what happens in this world, God is still there. When the lies start to creep in, stop and allow God to remind you of who you are.

Your service for the Lord is important. You are making a difference. Stop believing the lies that are holding you back and keep moving forward.
