Today, I woke up. Today, I was given another day to walk this earth. Today, I was given a gift. That gift was twenty-fours hours. That number sounds like a long time, but it will be gone before we know it. What will I see when I look back at the end of the day? Will I see a day wasted with activities that have no true benefit? Will I see a day where I made a difference? Will I see a day where I watched others serve the Lord or will I see a day where I served God?
All of these choices are up to me. It is my decision whether I fill my day standing on the sidelines or step onto the path the Lord has for me. The Lord gives us all free will. While He desires a relationship with us, He does not force us to have a relationship with Him.
I choose to serve the Lord. I am so thankful for Jesus Christ giving me the opportunity to spend eternity with Him in Heaven that I will serve Him until I draw my last breath. God’s goodness did not stop on the cross. He continues to pour out blessings in our lives. He continues to walk with us daily.
My life would be so empty without the love of the Lord. My life would be undone without the peace of the Lord. My life would be aimless without my walk with the Lord.
So today, we have 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, 86,400 seconds. What are you going to do?
