Freedom

Freedom will always come with a price. Sometimes, it is a price you can see and other times, that price has been paid for you. Freedom in a country is protected by the military. I have the upmost respect for our military and their families. They deserve our honor. They have a calling higher than themselves. They are John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. For people they have never met. Thank you to everyone who has served in the military. I am praying for you.

Our spiritual freedom also came with a price. A price that we could not pay. Jesus paid it for us. He willingly went to the cross to die as a substitute for the sins of every person on this planet, past; present; future. He deserves our honor. He laid down His life for His friends. For people that will never choose Him. For people that will curse His name. For people that lead others astray. He died for you.

We can have spiritual freedom. Freedom from sin. A promise fulfilled. An assurance of Heaven. You might think that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is all you need. You might be able to just “get by” in life and that is all you really desire. Not me, I want more. I want a fulfilled life, unbounding happiness, and the spiritual freedom found in my Savior.

I have all of that and more. Life and life more abundant. Choose today who you will serve – God or the world. You might think you are living your own life, but in reality, you serve one or the other. In reality, you make the choice. For me, every day, I choose God. Every day I serve a risen Savior.

My hope is in Jesus Christ.
