A Love Like That

Advertisements

Does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.

Do you love like that? Can you say you love expecting nothing in return?

As I read this verse, I think of Jesus as my example of how to love others. To care so deeply that you would lay down all that you have for them. That is what Jesus did.

We should love everyone. Even those who will never love us. They all need the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Loving like Jesus suffers long and is kind, does not envy, does not parade itself, is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquity but rejoices in the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, His love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

What would happen if we all loved people like that?

What a world this would be! Pray and ask God to open your heart to loving others like Jesus. Change this world one heart at a time.
