Colossians 2:7 (NLT) Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Do you think you were made to stand still?
If we do not move forward (which means to grow in the Lord) then we will grow stagnant.
The Lord says to go and no He didn’t mean just certain people, that was for everyone.
What happens if a church chooses to stand still and not grow? Well the church grows stagnant, which could mean the loss of the Holy Spirit moving in that church.
When we cultivate a relationship with the Lord and work to keep that relationship strong, we grow our roots. We want roots because they help us to stand against the evil of the world and our faith not be shaken. Roots soak in everything that the Lord has for us until we are overflowing with the fullness of God.
When you overflow, you have such an impact on the world around you. That is exactly what we need right now, to show the world the love of God.
Stand firm in the faith, but do not stand still.
