A few weeks back I was visiting with a friend and I mentioned retirement. I will never forget the answer. I am not done yet. That friend has now made their journey home. As I think about those words, I feel the same way, there was still so much to be done. There is still so much I want to do for Jesus. There are still so many lives that need Jesus. The scripture says in Matthew 9:35-38 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Today, I woke up and that means that today is a day to serve the Lord. I will labor today because tomorrow is not promised. I will labor today for those that Jesus loves, which is everyone in the world.
Today, I pray for revival. Set hearts on fire to be laborers for you, Jesus. Send them out to preach and teach You. Let their light shine brightly for all the world to see. Change hearts.
Today, I pray for salvation. If you have not yet accepted the free gift of salvation, I pray that today is that day. There is no better time, no better day, no better place than where you are right now. Jesus does not ask for you to clean yourself up to come to Him, He just asks you to come. Open your heart to Jesus.
I know that I am not alone in these prayers. Let us join together to lift our prayers. Let us move mountains today.
We are not done yet.
