I love listening to podcasts from the Billy Graham crusades. They are so uplifting and relevant still today. It is food for the soul. That got me to thinking. We do not seem to have any crusades these days. Why is that? There are still people searching for salvation. There are still decisions to be made. So what happened? We have concerts and seminars and conferences and so many other ways to reach those who need Jesus now – maybe those were supposed to take the place of a crusade. One thing I have learned from Billy Graham is that there should never be any type of gathering without an invitation. An invitation to accept salvation, to make a decision or to ask for prayer.
People are hurting. Christians are hurting. The world is looking for answers. Those answers are found in God. He can heal your hurting. He can calm your worries. He can.
The time is now. I am not saying you have to hold a crusade like Billy Graham, but we need to reach those in need. We need to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Whatever Jesus has called you to do. Today is the day to answer that call with a resounding YES. No looking back, follow Him.
I am praying for the Lord to send a great revival.
The world is ready for revival. Are you?
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You. Psalm 51:10-13
